About Auntie P-Cake's
The Name
When my niece was a little girl, I took her to a breakfast diner where we had an… unpleasant experience. We were having a lovely time when she looked down to find ANTS IN HER PANCAKES. We would later look back on the incident as a funny story. Years later, we ended up working together, and my niece told the story to a co-worker of ours. Our co-worker misunderstood and thought she was talking about her aunt. We had a great laugh and my tradename was officially born be it Auntie Pancakes, Auntie P-Cakes, P-Cakes, Auntie P, etc.
The Story
My baking journey started in 2009 when I took some local classes. I discovered a passion for baked goods, and I have continued improving my skills since. As a mother and a full-time worker, my passion was limited to a hobby I worked on whenever I managed to find the time. For years, I created baked goods for family, friends, and co-workers before word spread and I began doing work for local referrals. With my kids having grown up and starting their own lives, I now have the time to share my treats and sweets with the world, starting with my community, which I hope to reach through farmers’ markets and other local events.
